Rising Silo Brewery, a 3 bbl brew kitchen and patio taproom, operates within a shared space that includes a working farm, Glade Road Growing, among other groups. When visiting the farm and brewery, please drive slowly and responsibly to respect wildlife, farm equipment and staff, our neighbors, and the rural area. Please leave gates as you find them and assume all fences are electrified, especially those around the animals.

The patio and bar taps are sheltered from wind and rain under a tin-roof barn. During the cooler months, some heat is provided by radiant, ceiling, and heat lamps over several tables. The outdoor bonfire is lit during chilly days and most evenings, weather-dependent. We recommend you dress for the weather to enjoy all the elements of our farm experience!

CRAFT BEER TASTINGS

Beverages are available in 16-oz (pint), 12-oz, and 8-oz sizes and typically range in price from $5-9. Flights of four, five, and six tastings are also available. Take your favorite beverage home by filling a 32-oz crowler can, 32-oz or 64-oz growler, or one of our flagship brews available in 16-oz cans.

PARKING

Parking is limited on-site in gravel and grassy lots. Carpooling and responsible biking along Glade Road are highly encouraged modes of transportation, especially on busy Friday and Saturday nights. Please do not park for the brewery at the Heritage Park lot across the street.

RESTROOMS are available on site.

FOOD & OUTSIDE BEVERAGES

Outside food or beverage is not permitted. The farm kitchen, Farm and Forage, is open at 2:30 pm on Tuesdays, and 11am Wednesday through Sundays, until 30 minutes before taproom close time. See the 'Dining' page here for more info., and give us a follow on Instagram for menu highlights! Outside beverages, specifically alcoholic beverages, are not permitted by VABC law.

GROWLER + CROWLER FILLS, & KEGS

We are happy to fill your growler with our fermented beverages by way of 32-oz or 64-oz growler. Growlers must be clean, undamaged, and are TO-GO only - they must be consumed off-premises in accordance with VABC law. We can also fill 32-oz crowlers of any draft beverage on site, and have several 16-oz crowlers pre-filled for sale at the bar. Rising Silo fermented beverages are available in pony kegs and 1/2 barrel kegs for individual purchase and private event consumption. Please contact us in advance to order!

PETS

Your friendly and well-mannered canine companions are welcome to accompany you and must remain on a leash. We ask that you please pick up after your dog. Please be aware that working farm dogs do reside on the property, but are kept with the farm animals and enclosures operated by Glade Road Growing.  We appreciate your understanding - woof!

NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

We offer kombucha and ginger beer, which are fermented up to 0.5% ABV, "non-alcoholic" by VABC standards. Refreshing, carbonated water supplied from the well on the farm is available. We also offer non-fermented, house-made soda, apple cider, and coffee options.

MERCHANDISE

We'd love for you to sport your favorite local brewery! Gift cards, short- and long-sleeve t-shirts, hoodies, growlers, pint glasses, hats and stickers are available for purchase on-site.

GLUTEN-INTOLERANT OPTIONS

At this time, our Brush Mountain Blonde Ale is gluten-removed (formerly named the Leggy Blonde Ale). The kombucha, ginger beer and other non-alcoholic beverages are also gluten-free. The farm kitchen menu varies and may contain gluten-free options.
